Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a JAPANESE form of body work bringing together ancient disciplines of oriental medicine such as, Acupressure Massage known as Anma, Acupressure Points in relation to Acupuncture and the Meridian System, Nutrition and Mindful Stretching to keep the Body and Mind in good health. It aims to relax yet invigorate by encouraging the body’s natural flow of energy bringing you to a more Balanced and Centred place of Being; Present and in the Moment.
Shiatsu in Pregnancy
Shiatsu can relieve many physical and emotional symptoms that may arise during the term of pregnancy and after giving birth, postnatal / postpartum. You will be introduced to mindful breathing, visualisation, positioning for relaxation and comfort. These techniques bring mother to be, more in touch with their body-mind and their baby throughout the duration of their pregnancy. Contraindications, please ask, you can be assured when in the hands of a fully qualified Shiatsu Practitioner all is safe for you and your baby.
Qi Gong
Qi Gong (energy exercise) is a system of energy enhancing exercises that co-ordinate movement with breathing, visualisation and an inner concentration in relation to mindfulness. It improves health and helps prevent illness, gives you more energy if practiced regularly. The exercises are aimed at strengthening and harmonising the flow of energy in and around the body known as Qi. These exercise movements can be practiced by anyone any age and ability.
